Dear Families,

Here we are... at the end of our second year, looking ahead to being three full grades next year. My heart is literally full of gratefulness for all of you. Our first year in this building was a huge effort that began on the 7th floor of Clinton and brought us to 7 floors here on Morton Street. Last year at this time our parents were packing us up and gathering cars and trucks to help us manage our first trip over with boxes and boxes and boxes. Every event, every letter, every conversation is somehow woven into your energy and spirit every day here at 75 Morton. Thank you very much – always.

And now a letter to Nick and Bob, our outgoing PTA co-Presidents:

Dear Nick and Bob,

You literally made it possible for 75 Morton to grow. Your vision and energy and love for our school have propelled it forward in ways that are hard to understand. I looked forward to every conversation and meeting with you both. The minute you stepped up to this role, I smiled – and I have not stopped smiling since that day you thrilled me by volunteering. Your imprint on this school is everywhere. Without your leadership, calm, questions, solutions, jokes, stamina, and joy, I am not sure we would be here, at this point today. It is impossible to put into words my thanks and what I know are also the thanks of our community. You are both AMAZING THUNDERBOLT THINKERS!

To all of you, have a lovely summer. Katie, Ilene, Jill and I are around through July and from mid-August on – and I am always available by email. Stop by, call, email, visit – we will miss you!

With so much gratitude and love,

P.S. Just three pitches this week:
