SEEKING COMPUTER MICE

Mr. P. could use another 6 mice so if you have any USB mice sitting around at home gathering dust, please donate them to Alamo for students to use in school with their Chromebooks. Some students work better with a mouse. No need to purchase anything new, just keep an eye out for unused mice at home.


SCRATCH DAY AT GOOGLE

On May 25, 2019 from 9am-1pm is a fun day planned at Google SF. It's Scratch Day and it's open to all students ages 8 and up. Families can register and come together. Our tech teacher, Mr. P, will be attending in case Alamo students and families want to sit together. This is an event open to students from the greater Bay Area. There will be lots of time to tinker, learn new things and get help from experts in the computer science field. Click HERE for details


MR. CHAN'S DONORS CHOOSE FUNDRAISER

DONATE YOUR OLD HANDHELD DEVICES

Do you have old tablets or phones sitting around collecting dust? Consider bringing them to Alamo for a donation to The Nika Project.The Nika Project believes in the value of education for all students of any ability regardless of resources or previous experience. They collect and refurbish donated equipment to re-purpose for educational and communication purposes worldwide. You can read more about The Nika Project here, https://nikaproject.org/. You can see the donation form, to see what they are looking for. Bring any unused devices you can donate to Mr. P before the end of the year to donate this year.


COMPUTER RESOURCES FOR SUMMER

Continue your child's computer science learning over the summer. Click HERE to access a document of free ideas and resources for productive fun activities! Mr. P will keep adding activities until the end of school so if you have suggestions your child has used and liked please email him. LOST & FOUND

Please stop by the Lost & Found for coats, sweatshirts, water bottles and other lost objects. Items not retrieved by Thursday, May 30th, will be donated. Anything left after that will also be donated on the last day of school

SCHOOL PICTURE PAYMENT/RETURN

Please send in payment for the spring pictures or return whatever picture sheets you do not want by Friday, May 31. Payment and/or returned pictures should be given to your child's classroom teacher. Payments can also be made online, using Alamo's Picture Day ID BY458548Q0. Write in the payment code on the form in the picture envelope.


BOX TOPS DEADLINE

Last day to turn in BoxTops is Friday, May 31.
