ADDITIONAL CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE OPPORTUNITY

The Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad in the Chinese New Year parade on Saturday, February 23, 2019. They have invited only Alamo students to march with their organization during the parade to represent the various career professionals that make up the workforce. Additionally, they will be recognizing the Chinese people's participation in building the railroad.

We need (25) 4th and 5th graders and 6th grade alumni siblings, and up to 5 Alamo adults to march with the children. There will be minimal practice before the parade. There will be no dancing involved. They ask that our students be available starting at 2:30 on parade day. If you have any questions, please let Mrs. Fong know.

COMBINED JANUARY/FEBRUARY ALAMO MATTERS

As a reminder, due to the later than usual start and the number of holidays in January and February, we decided to combine the January and February monthly newsletter. Our goal will be to send it out toward the latter part of January. If you wish to include something for Alamo Matters or Gator Weekly, the link to the form is at the very bottom of this newsletter.
