Evening PTA Meeting: Wed. Nov. 14, 6:15pm in Cafeteria

Many of you asked for evening meetings... and we're giving it to you! Our November PTA meeting will take place on Wed., Nov. 14 at 6:15pm. Light bites & beverages provided. If you need to bring your students, they may work/play quietly at the far side of Cafeteria & enjoy a slice of pizza.

Our agenda will include a Special Election to fill an Executive Board position of co 2nd Vice President. Nominations will be taken from the floor, followed by voting. The Vice President is expected to attend monthly Executive Board meetings, general PTA meetings and serve as a liaison to at least one committee, initiative or special event.

Our agenda will also include updates from Jacqui on our new JumpRope grading system, Out Lunch for 7th graders, and news about Student Led Conferences, to be held on Nov. 27 & 28.

Did we mention the free sandwiches... and pizza for the kids? If you work during the day, this is your chance! Only November and March meetings will take place in the evening. Please come. All are welcome!

The Results are In... and We're Eating Pie on Fri. Nov. 16!

Many of you completed our online Community Builder Survey... and our first event will be a Friends-Giving Pie & Cider Open House on Friday, Nov. 16, from 4 - 7pm in the Cafeteria. This is an event for the whole family - so please drop by at any time for a slice of pie and a cup of cider. We'll have conversation starters on the tables for you - and the kids...

Generally speaking, you told us you want family oriented events (inside and outside of school). You prefer evenings - Thursdays and Fridays - and you want movie nights, game nights and shared meals. So that's what we'll work on. Look for more details soon!

And join us on Fri. Nov. 16 for PIE!

Bowl-a-thon: Jacq(ui) in a Box Advisory Challenge for Kids!

To add more excitement to our first ever Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser on Sat. Nov. 10, we have added a little competition for the students. We've created a Jacqui in a Box to go in each advisory room for coins & dollars to support Jacqui's bowling. Each student can donate a flat fee (your comfort level of any amount) or pledge $.05 per point that Jacqui bowls - with a maximum of $5.

Pledge sheets will be sent home with your kids early next week. Look for it! The advisory group that collects the most cash wins lunch time with Jacqui where they will enjoy her great company and a special sweet treat THANK YOU.

Thank you parents for your participation and for being so awesome!

If you can volunteer for either pre or day-of event, please sign up here:

And you can still PLEDGE HERE to sponsor our amazing bowlers!

Launching Facebook & Insta accounts... calling all photos!

Our Social Media/Website/Communications Team is hard at work. We've got a Facebook page. And we'll be launching an Instagram account soon.

Please start sending photos to our new email address - socialmedia@75morton.org - so we can get posting. For starters, we're looking for great pics of Fright Night and The One Run 5K. Stick with general ambient photos (like the one above!) and photos of your own students - as your submission is your consent to publish the photo. If your photos have identifiable students' faces that do NOT belong to you, please identify them so we can pursue obtaining permission.
