All Week: Raising money to enrich your child's experience at Peter Kirk!
Through your support of PTSA, your child has access to enrichment opportunities far and above what state funding provides. All of these programs are made possible by your generous donations to the Fun Run – Peter Kirk PTSA’s main fundraiser of the year.

Every dollar raised during the Fun Run goes directly back into the school for the benefit of EVERY student and teacher (learn more). As of today, you have helped raise over $29,600. Thank you for your generosity! But we aren't done yet!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to donate yet, don’t delay! The suggested donation is $150 per student / $300 per family – but any amount you can give is welcomed and counts as participation.

Donate online today using the link below:

For those who have already donated, thank you! Please consider extending your impact further:

  • Submit your donation for company matching.
  • Invite family and friends to participate in the fundraiser. Forward this newsletter and your link above. The funds they donate will automatically be donated in your student’s name.

The class with the most participation of Fun Run donations by September 28th will win the chance to silly string Principal Garcia and Vice Principal Maver - PLUS an ice cream party at the end of the month!  Today, Mrs. McGinnis, Mrs. Heliotis and Mrs. MacDonald's classes are in the lead.

Friday: Come watch the Fun Run event.

The Fun Run isn’t just a fundraiser, it's also an event for all the students to show their Peter Kirk pride! On September 28th, every student will receive a new 2018 Peter Kirk t-shirt and will go outside to run around the front parking lot (rain or shine).

This is a non-competitive run (skip, walk, or boogie), and no laps are counted.  Parents are welcome to attend to take pictures and cheer their students on.

The Fun Run will begin with the K and 1st graders at 9:30am, continue with 2nd & 3rd at 10:00am, and finish with the 4th and 5th graders at 10:30am.

Look forward to seeing you there!

We are still looking for 10 volunteers to make this event a day the kids will not forget! If you are able, please sign up below.

The Book Drive for new Teachers was a success.

Thank you to all those who donated books for the new teachers.  It was a huge success! We received hundreds of books to fill the classroom libraries of all the new teachers as well as our Peter Kirk library.  The books that were not taken will be donated to a women’s shelter on behalf of the MORELove Project. Thank you to Laura Harding and Wendy Alston for organizing this drive, and Nicole Bienkowski and Kristine Moreland for making sure the extra books find a good home.
