Grade Level Parent Socials In Full Swing
Come socialize with other parents, talk with teachers and the principal, nosh on light apps and treats, and to learn more about how you can support our fabulous school. You should have an evite in your inbox for your grade-level event! If you haven't seen your invite yet, please email Social Chair Frankie Newman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enrichments Start This Week
Our first semester is underway and runs through Friday, December 14th. Several programs still have space, so don’t hesitate to reach out to providers if you are interested in signing up. Please remember that we’ve streamlined our pickup procedures to improve student safety. When picking children up from enrichments, please enter the playground through the gates and meet your children and providers at the playground doors.

- SparkFun Electronics
If you want to share your skills with Polaris students or develop new ones along with them, please contact Deb Aruca at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your consideration.

|Support Our School
Fundraising has begun! Students should have received their donation envelope and instructions in last week’s Thursday folder. Please encourage students to reach out to friends, family, co-workers, neighbors – every dollar helps us reach our goal! Check out this email template under "2018 Jogathon Forms" to help your child ask for donations. We know it’s not always easy to ask for money but our school needs us!
Thank you to:
- Oblios, Cake Crumbs, Sweet Action Ice Cream, Sweet Cooie’s, Chipotle, Runners Roost and more for donating fantastic prizes for our post-race fun.
- Nestman Orthodontics for making sure every kid gets a water bottle!
The more pledges you get, the more chances you have to win these great prizes. Contact Carrie Lamb (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions!
|Community Projects and Products
Historically Polaris has used Original Works as the vendor for the visual arts department optional fundraiser. After much feedback, we are trying something different this year. We will still use Original Works but all art will be completed at home. This will ensure your family can customize pieces that fit your individual lives. (Visit www.pinterest.com/originalworks for ideas and inspiration.)
Art is due back to Polaris by 9/27. At that time we will send home order forms.
If you are not interested in purchasing art from OW but would still like to donate funds to the Polaris Visual Arts program, please drop a check off in the main office.
